Total Developments was launched in 2013. Mitlesh the founder had 10 years prior experience before deciding it was time to set out on his own, doing things his way with a more open and personal approach. After completing his carpentry training with a reputable auckland construction company, then moving up through their ranks becoming a foreman on large projects he then furthered his knowledge by working in one of Aucklands top landscaping companies. Mitlesh started out with only himself and one apprentice, from there the business quickly grew and today they have a solid and reliable team servicing the wider Auckland area from new builds and landscaping to renovations and light civil works.

From the outset Total Developments were interested and optimistic about our major renovation project when others weren’t. Mit is a problem solver with a creative eye. He is a good listener that seemed to pick up on the vision for the project very easily. He worked with us from an early stage to help us through a process we were unfamiliar with, and offered comprehensive quoting that worked out very reasonable compared to other builders. We were extremely pleased that we had the good fortune to have Total Developments Ltd.recommended by Permit Shop to carry out the conversion of our Auckland commercial office to a residential apartment. Mitlesh and his crew were always very obliging and helpful through the conversion process and on several occasions Mitlesh assisted us with ideas and resolved issues which arose outside of his brief and submitted plans.
We were out of town and therefore depended on Mitlesh and his staff to use common sense and have the ability to foresee a problem of which they would advise us to remedy.
His contractors such as electricians and plumbers were also pleasant and willing to be called in at short notice and he co-operated with our independent kitchen planner.
When we were able to travel to Auckland Mitlesh was always available at short notice to meet us onsite to discuss ongoing work.
Mitt and his team at Total Developments for previous building projects at our home so the decision about a builder for the kitchen project was simple. Mitt helped throughout the process from concept to completion working with the kitchen fittings suppliers, gas fire installation and air conditioning, including the inevitable numerous changes along the way. As an older house there were additional challenges with levels (not level), right angles (not right!) and so forth but Mitt sorted them out with creative solutions. His sub-contractors were all excellent and we were very comfortable having them all on-site; they all did a professional job and Mitt coordinated them well as we had to live in the house through the six-month project. The project expanded to a bathroom renovation and complete redecoration. Mitt took it all in his stride!
